Mechanical Engineering happens to be the back bone of any industry with amazing versatility. Mechanical engineering has been one of the fundamental disciplines of engineering and has undergone significant changes to accommodate the emerging trends in the scientific and technological sectors. Many mechanical engineers specialize in areas such as manufacturing, robotics, automotive/transportation, power generation and air conditioning. In the Mechanical Engineering department these activities are reflected in the way we organize our teaching efforts. The department of Mechanical Engineering strives to train students in mechanical engineering science as well as application of these scientific methods to conceive, organize and carry out scientific design of engineering systems. Our primary goal is to train future leaders with high-quality engineering education. The aim of the department is to disseminate knowledge and technologies through quality teaching, research and its applications in mechanical and allied disciplines.

Objective of the department
To improve continuously the quality of the teaching-learning process and set standards that other institute would want to emulate. To be totally student-centric, cater to overall growth and development of intellect and personality so that the alumni are worthy citizens and highly sought after professionals.
