About Tec Fest 2K24 at WCTM Gurugram
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at World College of Technology and Management, Gurugram, presented its incredible efforts to improve students’ knowledge and showcased its commitment to fostering innovation and technological advancements by successfully organizing the two-day tech event, Techfest, Ideas Tec Fest 2k24, held on 8th and 11th March 2024. This is not just an annual event; it’s an effort to provide a vibrant ecosystem where creativity flourishes, ideas collide, and technological breakthroughs come to life.
Day 1
The fest’s first day was successfully held on 8th March 2024 and was full of unique, fun and insightful events based on fostering technological advancements. The day was a bustling affair of the gamut of events designed to test mental ability, talent, logical thinking, and creativity. The students were full of energy and made the atmosphere electric with a combination of intellectual rigour and enjoyment. Events like Quantum Craft, Crack the Code, AD Mad Show, CADD-WAR, and Extempore allowed the students to showcase their innovative thinking, creativity, smartness and skills on campus.
Day 2
The second day of the Ideas Tec Fest 2k24 came with a lot of excitement and fascination in the students. The day was dedicated to the Ideas Project Exhibition and provided a platform to present their creativity and passion for technology through exceptional projects. The students were energetic and spent hours researching, designing and perfecting their projects to excel in the competition and learn with the experts. With the support, guidance and mentorship of our experienced, dedicated faculty, the day was successful and became a testament to our inspiring student community’s fantastic potential and talents.
Celebrating Innovation: Jury and Winners
The grandeur and magnificence of the event were elevated by the honoured presence of Mr Sudesh Kumar Jangid, from TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES, as our esteemed jury member. He has 20 years of experience in the IT, vendor management, and IT procurement industries, as well as expertise with extensive work in the healthcare and life science industries for clients across the globe. He provided valuable feedback, actionable insights, and encouragement to our participants, empowering them to refine their ideas and realize their full potential.
The Ideas Tec Fest 2k24 begins with a lot of passion and excitement on the part of students. In the various events organized, 60 teams participated. Of these, 36 were shortlisted to present their creative ideas and innovative projects. Three winners were chosen and rewarded for their exceptional efforts, ideas and technological projects.
1. First Prize: Rewarded the innovative “Solar Panel Three Wheeler” concept.
2. Second Prize: Awarded to “Fun Learn Galaxy”.
3. Third Prize: Awarded to “Dormio Interface With Dreamz”.
4. In addition, the “Face Recognition Systems” sponsored by SKLZ TECT LLP was rewarded with the sponsorship winner for the Best Executable Idea.
