WCTM has been awarded for its excellence in Education. A country wide survey was conducted by Knowledge Resource and Development Group of IITians to find out Leaders in Technical and Management Education. There were many areas which were covered in the survey. The survey was conducted to identify Technical and Management colleges which are providing holistic education. WCTM awarded as the best emerging technical institute for providing holistic education. The award was presented at the function held at IIT Delhi on 11th September 2011. The Chief Guest of the function was Ex. Director of IIT Delhi Professor Prem Vrat. The award was given by Vice Chancellor of Pant University Professor B. S. Bisht and Mr. P. P. Shrivastav, Member of North Eastern Council Secretariat, Government of India.
